Kiwavers (Kee-Wavers) is the official name of the New Zealand LightWave Users Group that occurs once a month in Auckland city since 1997-1998. It provides a resource hub where users can meet, share, learn and socialise in a friendly environment. I originally started the group because I yearned to meet other people with the same interests and passions as I did, specifically with LightWave and 3D graphics - And because I didn't know if anyone else in New Zealand had even heard of LightWave at the time! Over the years, the group has become much more popular, thanks to some of the media schools that use LightWave to teach 3D graphics. While meetings usually contain a strong complement of students, we also get professionals and hobbiest users alike at meetings!
